Vision and hearing screenings are important to your child’s ability to learn and progress at school. Indiana requires school nurses to screen the grades listed below.
Vision Screenings- 1st, 3rd, 5th, 8th, and all New students
Hearing Screenings- 1st, 4th, 7th, 10th, and all New Students
If you do not want your child to participate in the screenings, please email the school nurse or send in a written note stating that you do not want your child screened.
Vision and hearing screens will be started Sept 14th and continue through the school year. If your child passes the screening, no report will be sent home. Referrals will be sent home for those students who do not pass the vision/hearing screens. If you have any questions, please contact the school nurse.
