Morgan Township Girls’ Soccer Shines Through Hard Work and Leadership
The Morgan Township girls’ soccer team has shown that success isn’t built overnight—it comes from determination, resilience, and a willingness to put in the work together. This season, the Cherokees have continued to grow as a unit, leaning on their seniors for leadership while developing a culture built on teamwork and effort.
Head Coach Michelle Smith couldn’t be prouder of the group, especially her senior class. “Our seniors set the tone every day,” Smith said. “They’ve shown what it means to lead, to push through challenges, and to support their teammates. Their leadership has been the foundation of everything we’ve accomplished.”
The senior class has been at the heart of the program’s success. Audrey Rakowski has stepped into her role as a leader with confidence, motivating her teammates with her energy and work rate. Isabella Bryan brings steady play and a calm presence, helping anchor the team in high-pressure moments. Lilliana Pappas has provided determination and grit on both ends of the field, refusing to let her team’s effort slip.
Addie Gingrich has been a spark with her hustle and commitment, embodying the fight that defines this squad. Cole Engibous has been reliable and consistent, a teammate who does the little things right to keep the team moving forward. Ava Cowger has shown poise and leadership in key situations, while Ellie Higgins continues to inspire with her relentless effort and ability to rally the group when they need it most.
Together, this senior group has led by example, ensuring that younger players see what it means to be dedicated, selfless, and team-first. Their leadership is paving the way for the future of Morgan Township soccer while creating lasting memories in their final season.
“The thing I love about this team is how much they care about one another,” Coach Smith added. “They truly are a family, and that shows in how hard they play together every time they step on the field.”
With a senior class that has poured their hearts into the program and a team culture built on effort, the Cherokees are showing that Morgan Township soccer is as much about character and commitment as it is about wins and losses.
