Morgan Township’s annual 5th Grade Band Sign-Up Night was a resounding success, with over 50 students from the incoming 6th-grade class expressing interest in joining the band program. Led by band director Mr. Day, the event featured a "petting zoo" where students had the opportunity to try out various instruments, helping them discover which one suited them best. The hands-on experience allowed students to explore the sounds and feel of instruments ranging from brass to woodwinds to percussion.

Mr. Day was thrilled to see such a strong turnout and enthusiasm from students eager to begin their musical journey. "It’s amazing to see so many young musicians excited to take their first steps in band,” he said. “I can't wait to help them grow and develop their skills as they become a part of our band family." The event not only introduced students to different instruments but also gave them and their families an opportunity to learn more about the commitment and rewards of participating in band.

Known for his dedication to student growth, Mr. Day sets high expectations for his band members while also ensuring that each student receives the support they need. He meets his students at their individual skill levels and helps them progress, whether they are picking up an instrument for the first time or already have experience. With such a large group of enthusiastic new members, the future of Morgan Township’s band program looks bright, and Mr. Day is eager to guide these young musicians in developing their talents.
