CONGRATULATIONS to our High School Spell Bowl team who competed in the area competition Monday evening. The entire team performed exceptionally well and walked away with first place in class! Additionally, the team placed third in class across the state and has qualified for the State Competition which will be held November 16 at Purdue University. The team was led by captain Lucia Hensley, spelling words like cat’s-paw, and Addison Mora spelling canticle. Amelia Sutherlin, Ava Hasier, Luke Snow, Tessa Johnson, Emily Getzy, Jenna Abbring, Josie Jurasevich, and Dana Abbring all contributed to the strong performance. This evening our Middle School will once again represent Morgan at their area spell bowl competition at Washington. Congratulations and Go Cherokees!
