The Morgan Township baseball team continues to shine even on a cloudy, rainy, and cool afternoon at Laporte high school. Led by aggressive baserunning, and solid defense, the Cherokees were able to hold off a determined Tri-Township Tigers ball club.
As a steady rain fell on Schreiber field, playing conditions became quite a challenge for both teams. There were many walks, passed balls, and runs scored on wild pitches. The middle part of the Cherokee lineup came up big with some sacrificial at bats to advance/score runners that had reached base by means of base on balls.
The boys’ season continues on to next Saturday, June 8th. The location of the game is to be determined on Sunday, June 2nd!
