Congratulations to Jenna Abbring, Becky Bruce, Haley Prince, Xander Maciejewski, and Reed Smith for a wonderful concert this past Sunday at Portage High School. Morgan Township represented the All Region Band well out of 28 schools and 96 total participants. Also, good luck to Matt Brooks and Xander Maciejewski with their audition for the Junior All State Band!
CLUBS
Dana Abbring made a strong first showing for the Speech and Debate Team this weekend, competing at the Bishop Noll / Crown Point Combined Speech Extravaganza of Greatness. Dana brought home a 2nd place ribbon for United States Extemporaneous Speaking and a 5th place trophy for our school in the overall team rankings.
SPORTS
The varsity girls basketball team raised their record to 4-0 after Friday night's win against West Central by a score of 61-40. Leading the balanced attack was Peyton Honchar with 16 points, Madi Lemmons with 13, Shiloh DeBoard added 12 while Josie Lemmons and Abby Wasz added 10 and 8 points respectively. Next game is Tuesday at home against Michigan City, JV tip at 5:30.
