Hello Morgan! This is a message from your Interact Club to remind you that October is Polio Awareness Month. We are getting ready for our 5th edition of the Purple Pinky Fundraiser which will take place here at Morgan between October 16th - October 23rd. Some things you may need to know about Polio:

  • Polio is a highly infectious disease caused by a virus. It invades a person’s nervous system which can cause irreversible paralysis in a matter of hours.

  • Polio can strike at any age, but it mainly affects children under five.

  • There is no cure for Polio, but there is an immunization. A polio vaccine can be given multiple times to save precious lives. We need your help to raise money for those who still need vaccines and to knock out Polio once and for all!

Beginning next Monday, October 16th - you will have a chance to help save lives! Every day that week, the Interact Club will be working alongside Rotary International to collect money to eradicate polio once and for all. Please bring your $1 donation to get your own pinky painter purple and a chance to win a $50 Visa gift card. You may donate as much as you want to increase your chances of winning! Don’t forget - 100 % of proceeds will go toward this great cause! See you all next week at our Purple Pinky station!
