CLUBS

Who loves tea and wants to rule this planet with an iron fist? Find out this weekend as the High School Drama Club presents Oz by Don Zolidis. There are three shows to pick from: Friday at 7 and Saturday at 2 and 7. Tickets are $5 at the door or today is your last chance to visit Mrs. Martin in the office for a free ticket good at any of the shows. Sorry, middle school, you’ll have your chance in December when the Middle School Drama Club presents their play! Ticket holders, stay tuned tomorrow for a chance at a special treat.

Want to practice your p-p-poker face? Don't forget the Tabletop Gaming Club's call out meeting, this Friday after school until 4:00 in Ms. Trussell-Smith's room. We're open to everyone, 6th-12th grade!

There will be an East Porter Student Council Fall Mixer this Saturday, October 7th, from 5-8, in Kouts. There will be a corn maze, bonfire, hayride and food.  Details will be discussed in Friday's Student Council Meeting, and we will need a headcount by the end of the meeting.  Please be thinking about whether or not you can attend!

There will be a debate team callout meeting today during lunch from 12:10 - 12:28 in Mrs. Trussel-Smith's room. Any student curious as to what debate team entails should attend!

SPORTS

All female athletes in grades 9-12 are invited to attend a call out meeting for a new group, Women's Athletic Mentorship team "WAM".

This will be a safe place to discuss issues concerning female athletes, develop bonds and learn new skills increasing athletic performance.

We look forward to seeing you Thursday for the last 10 minutes of lunch in the Library. This is just an initial call out meeting so if you can not make it please let Mrs. Mateer know so she can add you to the roster.

The girls soccer team had their first sectional game yesterday against Kouts high school and won! The first half was a tough battle between the teams but Morgan got one goal at the end of the half. In the second half the team picked it up and scored three more to make it a 4-0 win. The goal scorers were Isabella Bryan, Makenna Taylor and Hailey Hardesty! Their next game is today at 4:30 at Kouts high school against Marquette and they would love your support. Great job ladies!

The JV volleyball team defeated Hammond last night, 25-10 & 25-8. Genevieve led in assists with 8. Gianna had 7 aces. Cathryn had 3 aces and 3 kills. Addy had 3 kills. Elodie and Ava each had 2 aces. Great job!
