CLUBS
Attention Middle and High School students interested in Drama Club- there is a call out meeting this Wednesday night, September 13 from 7 to 8 pm in the cafeteria. Your parents are invited to attend this meeting too. If you cannot make it and would like more information, contact Mrs. Cox.
SPORTS
The JV volleyball team took their 10th straight win as they defeated Kouts; 25-23 & 25-16. Ava led in digs with 10 and had 4 aces. Serenity had 9 assists and 4 aces. Kenna had 3 kills, and Genevieve had 4 digs and 2 kills. Great work ladies!
The girls varsity volleyball team fell to Kouts 1-3 Friday night. Leading in blocks was Freshman Braelynn Dudzik with 2 solos and 5 assists. Junior Maddy Keifer led with 19 digs and 2 service aces. Sophomore Lexi Rippe led with 8 kills, while Senior Chloe Price added 6 to the board. Freshman Sierra Ricke led with 30 assists. Special thank you to our seniors Madelyn Easley and Chloe Price.
The girls XC team had a big weekend down in Nashville, IN running the Elite Division of the Brown County Eagle Classic. The top 10 finishing teams included 9 teams that are ranked in the top 20 in the state. The average school size was 2685 students. The Morgan ladies came up huge finishing 4th overall. The team was led by Emmy with a new PR of 18:54. Dana ran a big PR finishing in 19:12. Peyton followed running a 19:25. All 3 finished in the top 20. Isabella was next running a PR of 20:01, Shae followed in another PR of 20:08. Next PR was Audrey in a 20:49. She was followed by Vanessa running a season best of 21:34. Megan was next in, followed by Ava and Jenna. Allison and Rebecca ran the Class A race both running season best times. Great job ladies showing the strength of a small school.
The week ahead includes the PCC RR2 and on Saturday the New Prairie Invite running the 3A division.
