Boys Soccer defeated Hammond Science Academy 5-1 in a very physical match.  The boys started off quick, when Noah Barker found Cooper Spagna who put us ahead in the first minute.  Later in the half, Brayden Cuson converted from the PK spot, and also assisted on Cooper's second goal of the night.  Beau Engibous converted 2 PKs in the second half for the win.  The defense led by Jake Weltzin and Logan Atchison held strong throughout the game.  The boys take on DeMotte Christian at home today at 4:30. Come out and support your fellow Cherokees.

The girls soccer team played a hard fought match yesterday against Illiana Christian. Even though they lost they played a great game and worked well together With great attempts from hailey hardest, Lily hurst, Isabella Bryan and more. With a great effort from the defense and a strong performance from the keeper Ireland Hanna we hope to continue to see growth in the future. Both teams showed great sportsmanship in helping players up when they collided. Both teams kept their composure during an intense game and should be recognized for their efforts!! Congratulations on receiving the IHSAA exemplary sportsmanship award lady Cherokees!
