The Biology II classes concluded their study of amphibians with a frog dissection. What an incredible learning experience! Some students had female frogs filled with eggs, while others had frogs that were loaded with fat bodies. What a great, memorable way to learn anatomy!!

Calling all student leaders! On Sunday, March 30th at the Valpo Public Library from 3-4pm there's a free event in partnership with nonprofits Earth Charter Indiana and 4SEE. This event is led by youth for youth, teaching young adults how to raise their voice for a more sustainable and equitable world. We will build a stronger community of changemakers in Northwest Indiana and see how easy it can be to advocate for positive change! There will be free refreshments and fun activities. See the flyers in the hallway and scan the QR code to sign up.

The final numbers are in for the 2025 mattress sale. WT will be getting a big check this week for $6439. WT students will be splitting $1010 for referrals. Job well done! All money goes to benefit student activities at WT.

As a culmination of studying invertebrates, fish, amphibians and reptiles, our Bio II classes went to the Shedd Aquarium on Friday, March 7th. Some of the students had never been to the Shedd, while others hadn't been there since they were much younger, so we all enjoyed an amazing day of discovery! Mrs. Rea especially loved hearing comments such as, "This makes so much more sense now after what we learned in class!"
