CLUBS

Hello Morgan! This is a message from your Interact Club to remind you that October is Polio Awareness month and today we are beginning our annual Purple Pinky Fundraiser! Some things you may need to know about Polio:

  • Polio is a highly infectious disease caused by a virus. It invades a person’s nervous system which can cause irreversible paralysis in a matter of hours.

  • Polio can strike at any age, but it mainly affects children under five.

  • There is no cure for Polio, but there is an immunization. A polio vaccine can be given multiple times to save precious lives. We need your help to raise money for those who still need vaccines and to knock out Polio once and for all!

Every day this week, the Interact Club will be working alongside Rotary International to collect money to eradicate polio once and for all. Please bring a $1 donation to get your own purple pinky and earn the chance to win one of the two $50 Visa gift cards. You may donate as much as you want to increase your chances of winning! Don’t forget - 100 % of our proceeds will go toward this great cause! See you this week at our Purple Pinky station!
