If you are, come to the Agriculture in the Dominican Trip Call Out Meeting on Tuesday, January 31st at 7PM in the agriculture building at Morgan Township. The Morgan Band Program is proud to announce that we have 27 events participating at the ISSMA Solo and Ensemble Contest tomorrow. Out of the 27 events there are two clarinet trios, one flute trio, a Woodwind Trio, and 23 soloists. They will be performing throughout the day tomorrow at Kankakee Valley Middle School. We have 3 events entered in the Highest Classification and if they earn a Gold Rating they will qualify for the State Solo and Ensemble Contest on February 25th. Those students entered in the Highest Classification are Connor Ross - Clarinet Solo, Kristin O’Dell - Flute Solo and a Woodwind Trio consisting of Connor Ross on Bass Clarinet, Kristin O’Dell on Flute, and Dana Abbring on Clarinet. The JV lost the Lowell Red Devils yesterday 48 – 22. Isabella Bryan led the Lady Cherokees with 8 points. The JV Lady’s had a good season,  finishing with 9 wins and 11 loses.



The varsity girls basketball team defeated Lowell last night by a score of 49-44. The the team was Peyton Honchar with 16 points, Victoria Detraz with 11 while Shiloh DeBoard added 9 points. The team is now 13-7 on the season. Last home game is Saturday, varsity only game at 1:00,


Kaitlyn Whitaker and Emma Spears competed at Valparaiso High last night and got their highest team score of the season. Both girls also got their highest floor scores. Emma did a new skill on bars and had her highest score on beam. Kaitlyn placed 6th on beam, 4th on floor, 5th on vault, and 4th all around. It was an exciting night for Kaitlyn as she was recognized as being in Senior in the sport.
