Key Club members who are interested in a Key Club Officer position for the 2020-2021 school year need to go to Key Club through Google Classroom and submit the interest form.  Please complete and submit the form by Friday, April 10th. The election will occur on Friday, April 17th.


"Hey Morgan Township Families and Students! Would you like  a chance to be featured in the yearbook? Yearbook is going to be doing a spread on Social Distancing and E-Learning. All you have to do is submit photos of your students working on e-learning or doing fun and creative things while we social distance during this time. Please send your photos to Miss Jordan, Yearbook Advisor, at jordan@eastporter.k12.in.us. Please include the names and grades of  those featured in the photos in the email.  We really appreciate this! -Miss Jordan and the 2019/2020 Yearbook Staff


Mrs. Johnson's Virtual Office has been updated with the following information:

-Updated AP information, including exam information and resources

-Parent resource links

-An 8th grade lesson (found under "Scheduling for 20-21): "Creating a 4-year plan" that ALL 8th graders should complete by April 17th

The CTE (Vocational) placement list for 20-21 has not been sent to schools yet; students will be notified via my virtual office and Google Classroom as soon as this is available.



Next week all East Porter Students and staff are invited to participate in an e-Spirit week. You can find out more information on the flyer that was attached to the announcement email.


Middle School Students and Teachers: New rotation classes will begin on April 10. Your current rotation ends on April 8. Be sure to update your information/calendars and expect lessons from new teachers starting on that date. 


Work permits will not be issued by the state until after May 1 for those students seeking employment.


Due to the uncertainty of the future and the well-being of our students, we are postponing Prom at this time. Once we have more information, we will update the status of the event. Thank you and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. 


IDOE has cancelled all Spring State Assessments. No ILEARN, further ISTEP+ testing, for this school year.


As COVID-19 is creating a rapidly evolving situation, all future FBI outreach programming is subject to change.  As of right now, we hope that things will move forward as planned with the 2020 FBI Youth Leadership Academy. The details are below, and the application is attached.  To accomplish the required "school official signature", and email from the school verifying the GPA will be accepted (please attach to the application). Applications may be submitted via email:  kdsipes@fbi.gov.  The deadline to respond has been extended from April 1 to May 1, 2020.
